Claim your clinic's listing on FindOpenClinic and publish whether you are accepting new patients, along with hours and closures. Free, and it takes a few minutes. The board currently covers 110 Canadian cities and towns.
1. Claim your listing
Search for your clinic, submit an ownership request, and complete verification. Once approved, the clinic appears under your account and you can publish status, invite colleagues, or hand the listing over to someone else at the practice.
2. Publish your status and hours
Set whether you are accepting new patients, add a short note if there are conditions such as a waitlist or a roster cap, set your hours, and record closures. Every change is timestamped so patients can see how current it is.
Why claim a listing
Stop answering the same phone call
The most common call a front desk takes is whether the clinic is accepting new patients. Publishing that status once means callers can check before they dial, and the people who do call are more likely to be ones you can help.
Your listing already exists
Clinics appear on the board from public sources and community reports whether or not anyone from the clinic has claimed them. Claiming is how you take control of what is shown rather than leaving it to community reporting.
Clinic-published status is marked as such
A status you publish is labelled as coming from the clinic and carries a timestamp, so patients can tell it apart from a community report.
It is free
There is no fee to claim a listing or publish status. FindOpenClinic is a community status board, not a directory that charges for placement.
What the board is not
FindOpenClinic does not book appointments, hold patient records, or provide medical advice, and it is not an emergency service. It publishes one thing well: whether a clinic is currently taking new patients, and when that was last confirmed. Patients are told to call and confirm before visiting.
